Admission Criteria
To apply for the online Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences program, students must have:
- Completed or be in the process of completing 6 total prerequisite courses (listed below) or their equivalent, and
- A 2.5 cumulative GPA in these courses.
Below is a detailed list of prerequisite courses required for this program.
- One of the following college-level math classes: Math 1148, Math 1149, Math 1150 or higher.
- Three of the following science classes from, one of which should include a lab: Chem 1110, Chem 1210, Chem 1220, Bio 1101, Bio 1102, Bio 1110, Bio 1113,Bio 1114, Humntr 2210, Microbiology 4000.01, Physics 1200, Physics 1201
- One of the following anatomy courses: Anatomy 2300 or Anatomy 3300 or EEOB 2510
- One of the following physiology courses: EEOB 2520 or Physio 3200

Primary Profession Areas of Interest: Epidemiology, Genetics, Pediatrics, Public Health. Dr. Stefan Czerwinski’s research utilizes a lifespan approach to aging in the broad sense. This includes research in growth and development, changes in body composition with aging, and assessment of chronic disease risk. His research examines how both genetic and non-genetic risk factors impact chronic diseases including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis.
